Aerobic Septic Service in the
Texas counties of Williamson,
Travis, Hays, Burnet,
Blanco, Llano, and Bell.
An aerobic treatment unit is an alternative septic system that treats wastewater by using natural processes in an oxygen rich environment to allow organisms to reduce the organic portion of waste into carbon dioxide. The product of this process is cleaner effluent.
Some environmentally sensitive areas are not able to support a conventional septic system due to: being close to a source of water, having poor soil conditions, and not having enough area to install a drainfield to process the effluent emanating from the conventional septic system.
The operational difference between a septic system and an ATU is the way they process water waste and its effluent. In an aerobic treatment unit the water waste is treated by continuously adding air to the waste to break down organic matter resulting in a more clean, odorless effluent than the one disposed by a septic system. On the other hand, these systems are more complicated to operate, use more energy and require more maintenance.
